Waveform Design, Database, and Development for Radio Communications Topic Number: SB103-007 (DARPA) Objective: Develop innovative tools and software functions that significantly improve the quality and development cycle time for creation of waveform and protocol software for radio communications systems. Tools and techniques will be developed that allow a communications engineer to design, produce, analyze, document, and validate radio waveform and protocol software required to implement radio communications networks. This effort enables standardized, interoperable waveforms and protocols across multiple processor and FPGA families, and across multiple radio vendors. Expressions of Interest and WG Contributions for COST-TERRA WInnForum and COST-TERRA signed a MoU during the 66th working meeting in Mainz, Germany. COST-TERRA is now gathering expressions of interest and contributions towards the first set of working group meetings and wish to extend this invitation to the WInnForum membership. These meetings will be held in Brussels on August 30 and 31, 2010. The goal of working group 1 (WG1) is to define a wide inventory of potential deployment scenarios for CR and SDR operating in the real world, and corresponding functional models for CR and SDR in each of these scenarios. These deployment scenarios might be proposed either by members of the technical community or the economic community.
